Alison Schaefer

Alison is a rising 3rd year PhD student in the joint UNC/NCSU biomedical engineering department. Starting her career as a wet lab research technician, Alison discovered a passion for software and machine learning as tools for enhanced productivity. Her current graduate research focuses on the development of computer vision systems to reduce the labor burden in routine laboratory data analysis. Alison brings expertise in machine learning and data analysis to LiRA.
