Andrew is a Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery resident and NIH T32 postdoctoral research fellow. This fellowship provided clinically protected research time to develop the skills necessary to become a surgeon-scientist and to lay the foundations of LiRA. Andrew offers expert knowledge of aphonic physiology and understanding of the healthcare environment. His firsthand experience working with individuals with tracheostomies or laryngectomies is invaluable to LiRA’s understanding of the future potential users of LiRA’s lip reading software. Andrew has previous experience in cancer imaging research and technology translational research.
